Physical Education
Broad General Education (S1 - S3)
Through PE, learners have opportunities to develop in four key areas:
- Physical Fitness
- Physical Competencies
- Personal Qualities
- Cognitive Skills
Learning through a wide variety of sport and activities including:
- Aquatics
- Aesthetics
- Invasion Games
- Central Net Games
- Athletics
- Striking & Fielding Games
Senior Phase (S4)
All S4 students will receive PE for 4 periods a week with a combination of theory and practical lessons. This gives everyone the opportunity to attain a National 3, 4 or 5 qualification in Physical Education on completion of the two mandatory units
Performance Skills (2x Single Performances in their chosen activity)
Factors Impacting on Performance (Written Portfolio)
Senior Phase (S5/6)
The PE department offers a wide range of courses in the senior phase
- Physical Education (N3/N4/N5/H/AH)
- Sport and Fitness (Level 5)
- Sport and Recreation (Level 5)
- Exercise and Fitness Leadership (Level 6)
- Refereeing (Level 7)
