Health & Wellbeing Faculty

The Health and Wellbeing Faculty at St David’s consists of the Physical Education and Home Economics Departments. Here, staff are committed to creating learning experiences that support wellbeing across a range of contexts and strive to continually improve learning pathways and extra curricular opportunities for all young people. This ensures students’ can develop their physical, mental, social and emotional wellbeing and have the tools to lead active and healthy lifestyles beyond their school years.

At BGE level all students will receive 1-2 periods of HE and 2-3 periods of PE per week with the opportunity to study further as they progress into S3 and into the Senior phase. This will run alongside our School of football Pathway. 

In the senior phase a wide range of courses are offered in both HE and PE to suit students’ individual needs, skills, levels and interests. 

Within the HWB Faculty there are also several opportunities to take part in extra curricular clubs, competitions, trips and other events through out the school year. For the most up to date information and latest goings on please check out and follow us on social media:
