At St David's High School we are currently working towards achieving our Rights Respecting Schools Silver Award, having achieved our Bronze award in 2021. The UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) works with schools in the UK to create safe and inspiring places to learn, where children are respected, their talents are nurtured and they are able to thrive. The Rights Respecting Schools Award embeds these values in daily school life and gives children the best chance to lead happy, healthy lives and to be responsible, active citizens.

At St David's High School there is a RRSA group involving staff and pupils which meets once a week. Throughout the year we have had  "Right of the Month" which is where on of the rights from the United Nations Charter on the Rights of the Child has been a focus for the whole school. There are posters put up and short presentations prepared for all classes which explain the Right of the Month and it's significance. The RRSA group also organised a very successful bake sale with all funds raised going to UNICEF, and members of the group have spoken at assemblies and staff meetings. Pupils throughout the school have also been learning about their rights in PSE lessons.
