Outdoor/Other Learning Opportunities:
In Humanities, we aim to provide courses that enhance learners' experiences of our subjects. Pupils have the opportunity to attend several school trips throughout the faculty to aid their learning.
S3 Geographers recently went on a trip to Dynamic earth as part of their course content delivered this year. (2023)
S6 Advanced Higher History recently visited Edinburgh University as part of their dissertation research on the American Civil War. They attended a lecture on Sectionalism which they also benefitted from. (2023)
Pool & Ping Pong
We have a weekly pool club running in Mrs Nelson's room at lunch.

Lessons from Auschwitz
Two Advanced Higher pupils are usually given the opportunity to attend Auschwitz in Poland or online due to COVID-19 and get to hear a Holocaust survivor speak.
Modern Languages Speed Network Event
Senior students in the department attended a network event and tour with Edinburgh University's MFL undegraduates, lecturers & careers advisor in 2019.
S4 Dynamic Earth
S4's enjoyed a trip to Dynamic Earth for their studies for Geography in 2019.
